Our founder and designer, Hiba Jaber, sat with Seen Arabia to delve into the creative roots of the brand, the philosophy behind our signature custom pieces, and the exciting vision guiding our journey forward.

Q1: Tell us about yourself.

Hiba Jaber: I am Hiba Jaber, a Palestinian-Jordanian jewelry designer. I was born in Morocco, raised in Jordan, and have lived in various places. I studied in London and in Florence, and I lived in Morocco. I've been in Dubai for about 13 years now. My work journey actually started in Dubai, and honestly, I really love Dubai. I always knew I wanted to enter the field of design, but I wasn't sure exactly what. Slowly, I started to delve into the world of jewelry.

In 2013, I got the idea for the brand that we are most famous for: the duo rings featuring the letters that mean the most to you. I took my time to develop the concept, its elements, and the business plan, and we launched the brand in 2017. It's been more than eight years now, and thank God, the journey has been wonderful.

Q2: What are the essential accessories for any look?

Hiba Jaber: Well, in terms of looks, it depends on each person's style, but for example, if you're wearing something that's a bit open here (referring to the neckline), it's nice to stack a choker with a necklace. For instance, if you have a nice tennis necklace, it's very trendy now that it's worn for casual outings, morning, and evening, not just for weddings. So it's nice to wear a tennis necklace, with something longer beneath it, and that gives a lovely look. Or rings—I always feel it's nice to wear rings.

Q3: Tell us about the "Palestine" necklace you're wearing.

Hiba Jaber: So, I'm wearing "Palestine" here, but it's designed in the style of the letters that are not joined together, as they are in traditional Arabic. I drew the word "Palestine" in a long format with the colors white and black, inspired by the Palestinian Keffiyeh, and it features a small heart with a .20 carat diamond. I like wearing it as a tribute to my Palestinian origin.

Q4: In your opinion, what pieces should be worn for a morning outing?

Hiba Jaber: If you're going out for a brunch with your friends, for example, and you like bracelets, it's nice to wear a stack of more than one. Especially in Dubai, it's great that we can wear our jewelry, and thank God the country is safe, because if you're in London, for instance, you wouldn't wear something like this. But here, it's nice to wear two, three, or four bracelets. Mix and match the colors. The weather's nice now, so mix the colors. Pink is very trendy now, so it's nice to wear a pink tennis bracelet next to a diamond bracelet, and mix in blue or purple—it's okay, you can mix the colors, it's nice.

Q5: Where is your jewelry available now?

Hiba Jaber: Right now, our showroom is in the Design District—if anyone wants to come and book an appointment with us. We are also available on Ounass, and soon we will be launching at Harvey Nichols Kuwait and at That Concept Store in Mall of the Emirates, in addition to the exhibitions, pop-ups, and private events we host.
