Meet Jude, the talented PR Manager for Valentino Middle East and a passionate fashion and travel enthusiast. In this insightful interview, Jude shares her personal philosophy, her deep connection to her home in the UAE, and the profound significance of jewelry in her life.

Q: So, who is Jude?
A: It’s a very deep question. I like to think of myself, I like to think of someone who is kind. I always try to be the nicest and best version of myself. I like to think I’m a good daughter, a good wife, a good sister, a good friend, and just to be a good person.
Q: What does a day living in Dubai look like for you?
A: Dubai has been home for 30 years, and for me, it’ll always be home. I love being in Jumeirah, and the beaches, of course. It’s my therapist, my hobby, and my best friend! A typical day in my life is I usually wake up early and have a moment alone, whether that’s a walk or I go to the beach. Then I work out sometimes. Then I go to work, and I come home early, cook dinner, and I’m in bed early. So the earlier I sleep, the earlier I wake up.
Q: Where do you want to travel to, and how do you think jewelry ties in with traveling?
A: I think traveling teaches you so much about the world, but also so much about yourself. Where I really want to go is still explore South America because I’ve never been and Japan.
So for me, jewelry is very personal, and I think jewelry is one of the best ways to actually tell a story about yourself, and it can be an extension of you. And it’s always a great conversation starter.
Q: What piece can you not leave the house without?
A: The piece of jewelry I can’t leave the house without is obviously my engagement ring. It just makes me really happy every time I look at it when I’m out.
Q: What do you think makes jewelry the best gift?
A: I think jewelry is probably the best gift you could give someone. We wear it so closely and personally with us wherever we go. And the idea that we get to pass jewelry down onto family members and whoever is very special to me, so the story continues on.
Q: What made you choose this special piece with Hibajaber?
A: Designing this piece with Hibajaber was a really special experience for me because I designed it with my husband’s and my initials. Every time I see it, sometimes I’m just talking and I catch it on my hand, and I really do take a moment to look at it and smile because it is a really special piece to me and it’s very calming.
Q: What’s your earliest childhood memory related to jewelry?
A: So, growing up, jewelry really had an impact on me. My mom used to always wear this really special piece that was like a choker, all of pearls. And she would wear it for like, really special occasions, and every time she wore it, I couldn’t stop staring at it. I’m still in all of it.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A: The best piece of advice I ever got, like again, I’d have to refer back to my mom: you know the power and value of kindness, and most importantly that being empathetic is a superpower. So it’s something I try and remember every day, and whoever I come across, is that being kind and empathetic is the best thing you can do.
